Since I have come back to SL and started blogging again, most of my entries have been a little light on the verbiage. However, I wanted to take a moment and share a wonderful event that is taking place now (4/19) until Sunday, April 29. If you don’t know what I am talking about yet, then let me tell you.
The Fantasy Faire 2018 has begun and is the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, roleplayers, and performers in the virtual world. The event promises to be chockfull of shopping, dancing, theatre performances, DJ parties, auctions, questing, Literary Festival, fantasy art, events and roleplaying. While this should be enough to spark your interest, there is a deeper reason why I want to share this event with you all.
These events all go to support the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer and proceeds help benefit ACS through Relay For Life. As someone who has personally dealt with having a loved one pass due to cancer, I find supporting these type of events important. It is a time for us to celebrate those who lost their fight, those who survived it, and to bring awareness to an illness that is so prevalent in our society.
I hope that you all decide to drop in, stay awhile, and make a donation no matter how small. Every little bit helps and even if you aren’t into shopping (blasphemy), stop by, dance, or take pictures of the wonderfully decorated sims!
