Over the (almost 5) years that I have been in SL, there has been an enormous increase in the amount of shopping events put on. There are ones that are weekly, biweekly, monthly, and annually. There’s even one based on astrological signs, but that’s a whole other post coming up.
Anyway, I can remember when the events were so far apart that it was hard having to wait for the next one to come along. But now, we’re blessed with events like FaMESHed. Honestly, I used to hate mesh, but I have come to fall in love with it. Unfortunately, I still have some weird attachment to many of my prim clothes that I’ve collected over the years. Le sigh. But enough of my psychobabble, the following are just some of the awesome items you’ll find at FaMESHed. As you can see, I went on a little bit of a shopping spree… oops. 😉
So, this year’s Fashion for Life event ends tomorrow (3/17) at noon. This means that there’s still some time to head over and spend some Lindens for a good cause. If you are unfamiliar with this event, it benefits Relay for Life which is done by the American Cancer Society. Personally, I lost my grandmother to leukemia when I was a teenager and this organization has a special place in my heart. Below, you’ll see that I’m featuring a few outfits from Countdown that were done for FFL. Now, get on with it, get over there before they close that sim down!
Hair: Truth – Zendaya in Seasand Skin: Glam Affair – Amberly in India 03 Outfit: Countdown – Karolina Gold Bodysuit Earring: Maxi Gossamer – Kizzy Gypsy Hoops in Gold
Today, is my late day at work so I figured I would put a post up before I went in. Anyone want to go for me? I mean, really, who invented RL anyway? lol Feeling a little casual today and almost wish I could wear this to work. The trench does come with a cute skirt and turtle neck, but I felt like mixing it up a little.
For those of you who are new to my blog, I am participating in Luna Jubilee’s 52 Weeks of Color Challenge. Not only is this a great challenge to get your blog up and running, but it’s also a community. Whether it’s through the Flickr or in-world group, you’ll always find someone to challenge you further, to push you to limits you didn’t think possible.
Every once in a while in the in-world group, there is a mini challenge that’s sent out. Last time, Luna challenged us to blog about things we love (I kind of missed out on that one), and this time Adorkable Peapod encouraged us to blog out of our comfort zone. Now, the following look isn’t exactly out of left field for me. Though, the truth is I’m usually WAY more clothed and a little more innocent looking (what? you don’t believe I’m usually more clothed?). Anyway, I hope you enjoy my little dip into the wild side courtesy of Miss Peapod.
Zoey Gabardini, of -paper.doll-, has released some amazing things lately! A couple of the items on the blog today are only at the Vintage Fair so make sure you get down there and scoop them up before it’s over.
