I’m feeling a little less scatter brained today. Though, I still have a ton of RL stuff to do. For some reason, I don’t think I’m ever content until I’m barely able to do everything. I have work, my volunteer stuff, Second Life stuff, and other things that I like to do. Unfortunately, I can’t compromise things because people are counting on me, even in SL. But it’s okay because I’ll find a way to get it all done. At least, I hope so.
Anyway, I was drooling over this skirt while browsing through Flickr. Lucky for me, Kennef (of [Context]) put it in his store not too long after posting pics on his photostream. Bad part is that it’s taken me this long to get it posted. But alas, it’s here and it’s awesome. Sexy and classy and so perfectly my style! Oh, and if you happen down to [Context] and see Kennef standing around, make sure you say hello. He’s pretty friendly like that 😉
O-M-G! I am so in love with the Maia shape from Anatomy. It got even better when I paired it with the Clover skin from Essences. I never thought I could pull off the cute look, but think again because here is the proof. I mean, come on, look how cute that face is and she’s got curves in all the right places! Which means that I will definitely be using this combo a lot more on the blog to change up the look from time to time. The best part about this shape… there were only a limited number of them created. 15 were placed for sale and last I heard there were only 4 left. Which is good because it means there’s less chance of us all looking like clones.
Now, quit stalling and make sure you get to the Anatomy Mainstore before the Maia shape is all gone. The inworld location is the only place you’ll be able to purchase this shape. But you can also check out the other great shapes they offer by going to Anatomy on Marketplace. And if that’s not enough to get you to go then you just need to go because the owner is awesome (<3 you Glitch!).
I am a girly girl. This hasn’t always been the case, but somewhere in my early 20’s pink became my favorite color and I loved getting all dolled up. Before that, well, you’d find me in jeans and a t-shirt most of the time. Though, I still live in my running shorts and t-shirts, even those have become a little more girlified. If “girlified” was a word. Anyway, I love everything frilly and cute. I love jewelry, shoes, dresses, make-up, and different hairstyles. So, naturally, I love this coat. It’s from Paradise Kiss which is a realitively new store and it personifies girlyness to me. In fact, I would do many a things to have something like it in RL. But this version is better because if you buy the fatpack version it comes with a HUD and you can change the color of the jacket and the buttons. Too bad it isn’t that easy in every day life. Hmmm… I think I’m going to work on that. 😛
They have a lot of other cute items and even some guy’s stuff so make sure you go check it out!
I finally made it to Zodiac which is sad to admit, but knowing that paper.doll had released a cute little bikini I had to go. I did find lots of fun things that were inspired by the current sign: Aries. Now, if you don’t know much about those who fall under this sign then let me give you a little description. They are said to be independent, generous, optimistic, enthusiastic, and courageous. However, like every sign they have their downfalls such as being moody, short tempered, self-involved, impulsive and impatient.
Most of you are probably scoffing at the idea of horoscopes and astrology. Me, on the other hand, I somewhat believe in it. Not so much that a horoscope can tell me what’s going to happen on a day to day basis, but the idea that people have certain attributes depending on when they were born is what I agree with. I am a Scorpio, RL and SL (and no I’m not telling you how close my birthday is to my Rez date), and I definitely can fit the mold. Which is probably why I haven’t dated an Aries because the two signs together usually don’t mesh too well, romantically anyway.
Keep reading for all the details on what I’m wearing!
Over the (almost 5) years that I have been in SL, there has been an enormous increase in the amount of shopping events put on. There are ones that are weekly, biweekly, monthly, and annually. There’s even one based on astrological signs, but that’s a whole other post coming up.
Anyway, I can remember when the events were so far apart that it was hard having to wait for the next one to come along. But now, we’re blessed with events like FaMESHed. Honestly, I used to hate mesh, but I have come to fall in love with it. Unfortunately, I still have some weird attachment to many of my prim clothes that I’ve collected over the years. Le sigh. But enough of my psychobabble, the following are just some of the awesome items you’ll find at FaMESHed. As you can see, I went on a little bit of a shopping spree… oops. 😉
So, this year’s Fashion for Life event ends tomorrow (3/17) at noon. This means that there’s still some time to head over and spend some Lindens for a good cause. If you are unfamiliar with this event, it benefits Relay for Life which is done by the American Cancer Society. Personally, I lost my grandmother to leukemia when I was a teenager and this organization has a special place in my heart. Below, you’ll see that I’m featuring a few outfits from Countdown that were done for FFL. Now, get on with it, get over there before they close that sim down!
Hair: Truth – Zendaya in Seasand Skin: Glam Affair – Amberly in India 03 Outfit: Countdown – Karolina Gold Bodysuit Earring: Maxi Gossamer – Kizzy Gypsy Hoops in Gold
So, I have finally made it to my 100th post. It took a lot longer than I thought it would, but then again… I guess that’s what happens when you’re absent from your blog for almost a year. Oh, well. One thing that definitely has not changed is my love for Zoey Gabardini and her clothing line, paper.doll. Below you’ll find the paper.doll goodies from this month’s Arcade event as well as Whore Couture 2. Go check them out and then you’ll be like me… claiming not to have a clothing problem when your inventory is busting at the seams!
